I measured the seal and built the tool out of aluminum. I did not buy my parts from John Deere. I guess I should have tried to rent the tool from them. If it does not work I will start over and try to rent the tool.

450C Rear Crankshaft Seal Install Tool JT30042

Hello. If anyone can help, I need the measurement of the depth of the step on the face of a JT30042 rear crankshaft seal install tool. I need to build a JT30042 seal install tool for my 1120 tractor. According to what I could find on part numbers, my 450C and 1120 tractor can use the same rear crank...

450 (3325) Winch. How Long Should 5/8" Line Be?

Got my 450 winch going. It's a 3325. Had to replace a few parts. The line on it is bad. How long should the new line be. It will be 5/8" diameter.
Thanks,
David Edwards

I changed the oil and oil filter first. It did look really bad. Someone on another website said it may be the pump screen. I guess I'll check the pump and screen. Maybe that's all it is.
Thanks,

JD 450 Winch Problem. Need help

Hello, I have a 450C with an older 450 winch on it. The winch hasn't worked since I got it. I am trying to get the winch going. I have 450 service manual that has this winch in it. It's a 3325 with the older spool-valve control. You check the pressure on the outside of the housing cover that covers ...

Thanks everyone for the information. I sent the solid disc back yesterday. I was to worried about it. The splines in the hub were even 1/4" shorter than my old one. I have an AT160477 11" disc on the way. I have a rebuilt 11"pressure plate, it looks just like the old one. (Except new) I didn't know ...

450C Engine Clutch Disc

Hello, I have been reading this message board and it's been very helpful. I recently bought a 450C that needed a throw out bearing. Engine clutch disc and pressure plate was bad also. The disc was coming apart. The new disc I got does not have any springs in it. It's solid. The guy said that it was ...

450C Clutch

Tigerhaze, The top 3-1/2" - 4"of pedal travel does operate the HLR transmission. The bottom travel of the pedal should be working the engine clutch, that part of it's not hydraulic. You can press it to the floor and can't feel any resistance. It feels like it doesn't have a clutch in it. The HLR par...

450C Clutch

I'm looking at buying a 450C. You can press the pedal to the floor and can't feel the engine clutch working. You can shift 1-4 gears if your quick with it and the engine RPM is slow. You have to turn off the tractor to shift it if it gets between gears. The top half of the travel works the HLR ok. T...

450D HLR Adjust. Help

Hello, Just bought a 450D. Problem is H to Reverse is very hard and sharp to lock up. R to HL seems ok. About 2 seconds to lock up. Adjusted clutch pedal to 4” travel per tech manual. Adjusted 5/16 clutch valve adjusting nut down until pedal started to pull away from stop. Back out 5 turns. Run engi...

450D Blade?

Hello, I am new to this, but I am looking at a 450D to clean up some land. It seems to be in very good condition with about 50 hours on under carriage. It has a straight blade. The price is $16,000. My question is, if the same machine had a 6-way blade, what would it sell for? Thanks for your help, ...
