with the engine off I can get the machine to roll forward in 1st gear with reverser in forward by turning the pto shaft. Start it up and it acts like there isn't even a first gear there. Doesn't matter which direction the reverser is in. All other gears work fine. zero broken gears or chipped teeth ...
