Getting near needing to fuel up my new to me 420c for the first time. I'm up here in Colorado at about 7,000'. A lot of people drop a trade of gas here compared to elsewhere due to the lack of oxygen. I'm lucky as my local station has ethanol free (92 octane I think) in addition to the usual 85, 87 ...

Anybody have a source for the "nut" clip? One of mine was messed up & I had to cut the "bolt" to get the hood off. Got the replacement "bolt" already, but don't want it getting jammed in the nut clip thing again. I can find a number of sources for the bolt, but none for the nut.

Tightened up the leaky petcock packing on the fuel separator then pulled the carb again. I didn't have the bowl tightened up enough and/or didn't have the float set quite correctly. The pressure washing likely got some moisture inside the distributor. Not uncommon for a running engine not to start after a bath. Check that and dry it out of it is we inside.
