MC OEM Hydraulic Control Handle
I have my 1949 Crawler hydraulic system almost complete. It is equipped with many parts purchased from Lavoy as well as some fabricated by a couple different local machine shops. Before I put all the rest of it including body parts back on, I want to test the hydraulics for leaks. I have the origina...

Re: MC hydraulic reservoir
I finally have my 1949 MC with the mc1000 series hydraulic system and blade built. Thank you Lavoy for supplying most of the parts. I used two different machine shops to rebuild cylinders and make a few custom parts. I know it holds 11 quarts of oil but am not sure what is best for this system. It i...

MC 1000 Assembly
Lavoy did find a reservoir for me and many other parts. I am still missing the two spacers, one on each side, that mount the rear of the hydraulic cylinders with two more U bolts. I have the tracks removed but still need to raise the frame rails (2"x2") which are set at 90 deg from flat. Once I acqu...

Re: MC hydraulic reservoir
Great info guys. I will contact Lavoy. In the interim, does the reservoir need to withstand the 600 psi the pump produces?

Re: MC hydraulic reservoir
I actually found a book for the MC1000 system and it says the reservoir with the integral cylinders holds 11 quarts but I still don't know how much the reservoir itself holds.

MC hydraulic reservoir
I have my Model 1000 cylinders rebuilt and have most of the rest of the lift arms and blade either fixed or made in a machine shop. It occurs to me that before I make the hoses and connect the cam drive pump, etc., I need a reservoir. I do not have one nor do I know what they even look like, capacit...

Re: Mc 1000 tool carrier
I know this is a very old post but hoping someone will read it. I see mentioned a part schematic for the JD MC1000 Tool Carrier. I am rebuilding one that I acquired on two pallets and would love some documentation. Does anyone possess one of these schematics? If yes, I would love a copy and would ce...

Early MC blade Lift Cylinders Rebuild Help
I am trying to rebuild my set of (probably Holt) lift cylinders that mount inside the tracks. I have a 1949 MC. The hydraulic shop is stuck and I am looking for help with two questions about disassembling them. I have no documentation but I do have pictures of where we are in the disassembly process...
