Sucess!! It's alive again. Took all day bleeding and cranking to get all the air out of the lines, but it finally started. (took my time, went out once an hour and cranked on it, then let it sit and cool/charge the batt.) Ran it for about 30 min a varying speeds. Got 30psi oil press up to running te...

OK, well here we are almost a year later.. Yes it had a spun Rod bearing. The plunger in the oil pump was STUCK open. I had to remove the oil pump to get the plunger out... Got the Rod bearing and the oil pump plunger both fixed. Now All I got to do is remove the injection pump, time the oil pump, t...

Yea all the bolts were out, The Kid came by and wailled on it with a hammer and chisel, it finally let loose.
Looks like the last person to put it on used some sort of epoxy sealer on both sides of the gasket, it's very hard, basically ripped the gasket in half pulling the pan off.

Thanks..

Well, we got it down to the garage. We opened it up and shifted it to "TOW", and yes that does put both shift collars into "neutral" so the gears don't spin when you tow it. If you figure the gear ratios, to pull it at one mile an hour it has to spin the gears at something like 2500 rpm. It took the...

Looking in the book, it looks like we're fighting the gears in the tranny. It looks like the "tow" position puts both shift collars in "neutral", so none of the gears are connected together. OK, thanks..Will try blocking the levers like you suggested, if that won't get it we'll have to open it up an...

Towing a dead 2010C

2010C Diesel HLR Dead, we think it has a spun main bearing. OK we got a dead 2010C out in the woods, we need to tow it in. If we shift it into the "TOW" position, exactly what does it do? Problem is this machine is it is "stuck" in the 1-2 position. In order to change it, we have to open it up and m...

2010 tranny dissambly HLR

HI ALL. Our 2010 Diesel has tranny problems. The HLR is good and works fine, problem is the range change won't shift. We have removed the tranny cover and all the linkage appears to be working and in good shape. We can shift thru all the gears IF we use a hammer and drift to tap on the sliding gears...

Talked to DB, they couldn't find one, so had me send the old one for rebuild.
It's done and on it's way back now. was only $129 for complete rebuild.
Should be back later this week, total time of about a week and a half.

Was that a 10 tooth starter or a 9 tooth?

My parts book says it should be a delco 1107523, 1107556, or a 1107573 starter. When I find one of these they are 9 tooth starters. The one I pulled out is a 10 tooth.

Any ideas? Im getting lost here..

The 2010 Diesel NEEDS the glow plugs to start. NEVER use Either on it or you WILL destroy the motor. JD wants $100 each for the glow plugs, you can find the EXACT same glow plugs on ebay for $25 each. The glow plugs are a slow heating type, per the manual... warm engine = 30 seconds above 32f = 1 mi...

if the bearings in yer bottom rollers are worn out the rollers will tip sideways and let the track out from under, thats my guess as to whats letting them out. Worn out tracks dont help any either. Keep them as tight as you can, but I think its a loosing battle, keep yer eye out for better rollers a...
