go to site, hoses and tube, look for custom hose assembly

Re: Jd 350 crawler

I just did mine, removed both track frames, mine were stripped out and broken also. I welded up the holes in the track frames and bored them back out, however I upsized mine to 7/8" grade 8 bolts. Now as for the cross bar, my holes were all wallowed out and oval shaped. I machined some aluminum roun...

Re: JD350B purchase (possibly)

Think you might be even to high with your offer but not by much, I am new to 350s slso but Im learning fast how expensive under carriage work and parts are. How are track adjusters, seals are cheap but the rods if corroded are about 400 each. Set of chains or rails no pads are like 3k, your labor. M...

Re: motor identification

Good thought Jim on clamping the liners down. this thing now turns freely, pulled manifold and mufler got a lot of small acorns or some kind of round nuts and a mouse nest out of it. Not sure if it was in the mufler or I back blew it out of a cylinder into the muffler with compressed air. So do I ta...

Re: motor identification

Once I got it on the hook I almost had to laugh , the New Holland skidsteer handled it easy, the guy loading it had a huge Bobcat and said he was afraid it eould tip had me thinking this thing was over a ton, the reverser does look heavy I guess. Anyway tore exhaust manifold off and held the valves ...

Re: 350 straight reverser filter and oil change.

Almost good to hear on trans oil, having a good time trying to flush it with diesel, that goo film stays right on the bottom and doesnt break up easy Guess I will have to get it hot and drain and fill till it cleans out. Was thinking about putting a small heater under it to maybe evaporate the moist...

Re: motor identification

Thanks Jim, that helps a lot. Have not been around these for long but at a glance I was pretty sure that was a 350 motor and reverser. I did see on the broken tractor parts site they list this engine for sale as a long block with a shipping weight of 400 lbs. When I picked it up the guy loading it w...

motor identification

I saw and add on market place, JD 3cyl engine $350. Skeptical but went to look at it and it had everything complete radiator, starter, inj pump, alt. and still attached to reverser. sitting in the grass but guy said it was running good when he removed it. For the money it was worth it for the extern...

Re: 350 straight reverser filter and oil change.

Leonard, I used an extractor to get the bulk of the oil out then took off the cover and removed the filter and changed that. Not bad so someone must have done it at some point. I got lazy and was going to put it back together but I realized now is the time with the skid plate off. So, I welded a net...

350 straight reverser filter and oil change.

I want to dump the oil and change the filter on the 350 reverser, its been sitting quite a while before I aquired the machine last spring. The machine was run without the belly pan and the drain plug took a beating. Can I drain it by removing or loosening the filter cover plate? I also can extract o...

Re: Cross bar bolts

Well the aluminum slug trick worked great and the holes on the front cross bar are now much better. Wish I had the picture thing worked out. Now I found on 1 side the rear round cross bar is mounted with a steel block that is a half round held on by (4) 5/8" x 4" bolts. 3 of course were sheard off i...

Re: JD 350 Track Adjuster

Explained it makes perfect sense, and the only solution to this is new chain thats understood. In the scope of things sprockets are not that much so think I will drop a link to get that adjuster back in the bore, it's new and I dont want all that rod exposed to all the elements , rocks and things. I...
