So, you are talking $7k for 5 tractors. wow, that sound like a lot of projects to take on at once.

But for $7k, I would think you could easily keep 2 that you like, and sell the rest and still come out making some $$. Just requires having the $7k to begin with.

FYI:
If you would like to ship something large, strange or whatever, check out www.uship.com If you buy a crawler and need it hauled, this is an option. I *almost* shipped my 310c this way.

I pulled my engine, radiator, and reverser all in 1 piece, without pulling the skid plate. Once teh front is gone, there are only a few bolts with those L shaped brackets and she will come out. Warning, it is really really heavy that way. BTW, mine was a GM deisel, not sure about the gas model.

John, first welcome. Second, please form sentences, with punctuation, you will receive more help if people can easily read your posts. Third, I feel your pain, and just went through a reverser rebuild. It sounds to me like you need to get that front clutch adjusted up properly, and then HOPE you don...

Great project! Very satisfying (and fun) to do that stuff yourself too. Looks like we will be working similar projects. Just go teh 440 crawler loader back working, and I just bought a JD310 too, only mine is a bit older then yours, and it is a C, not a D. Keep the photo records coming, always like ...

FINALLY DONE

Finally done. Finally together. Finally works. Finally out of the shop. Finally moved a little dirt. Finally out of the doghouse. I can finally play with my new 310c BH. A trial this afternoon with the manufactured part and repaired reverser ended up very good. Things adjusted up nice, and seem to w...

Well, that 1/2 gal was not all on purpose! However, I changed the rest of the fluid in the tractor on Sun. and found the the darn trans fluid was much more milky then I would have hoped. I wrapped rag around the air line and held it in the fill hole. It helped push a ton of the extra bad oil out. I ...

Well, thought I would report back with the correct plumbing. The rear connect on the engine block is the pressure, and the front, next to the oil sending unit, or oil pressure line in my case is the return. The feed into the oil filter housing is in the side, the return in the bottom. So, if your fi...

My 440 is back together, however I have not fired it yet. I want ot change all the fluids and such first, and I have been just too busy at work.
My 310 was delived last week too, and I have not been able to play with that either.
