Re: Military Surplus JD 350 Straight
I just used a big combo wrench on the reverser bolts to ensure they were tight. You should be able to use a crow's foot on a torque wrench if you want to torque them.

Re: Source for 6-Way Blade Controls & Linkage
New is no longer available, unless someone's got one gathering dust on a shelf somewhere.
The one I'm buying is said to be useable as-is, but we'll see.
Thanks

Re: Broken Crossmember to Reverser Bolt - How to Fix?
👍 Sounds like a fight for sure. It only goes in one way, so if you get it out take note which side faces out/in. Those bolt holes in the bottom require it to set correctly. I guess the good news is once it’s out you can put the blue wrench to it and if the broken bolt is coming out this will make i...

Re: Broken Crossmember to Reverser Bolt - How to Fix?
If your straight is like my C model then that broken bolt is actually in a yoke that bolts onto the frame, reverser, and crossmember. I don’t have a great picture but here is a yoke laying on the track. https://i.postimg.cc/bwPGL2q8/6104CE03-930A-4B75-B701-DAA4B7D989AC.jpg From your picture I can se...

Definitely could be different on your straight. If you’ve got most of the bolts there one missing bolt may not be worth the effort to ...

Broken Crossmember to Reverser Bolt - How to Fix?
I got underneath my '67 350 Straight and I was making sure all of the larger nuts and bolts were tight and I snapped a 5/8" bolt that secures the reverser to the crossmember on the right side. It's a grade 8 bolt and didn't put much pressure on it at all, so it must have been compromised and/or just...

Re: how important is power steering on the 350?
Mine 67 350 doesn't have it, either, but it steers just fine without it, so I have zero interest in adding it. Just something else to break, in my opinion.

Re: Source for 6-Way Blade Controls & Linkage
I messaged Lavoy about this already.
I can ask the dealer to do a system search.
Thanks,
Scott

I have the same question; my blade seems to have significant play as well.

Source for 6-Way Blade Controls & Linkage
My '67 350 Straight has the 6305 6-way blade and the controls and linkage are just worn out. I know I can rebuild it, but I'd prefer to source something new or good used so I can install it and set my original stuff off to the side so I can repair when I have spare time. For the new parts, I checked...

Re: JD 350 Straight - New to Me - Now What?
I checked with the dealer; the kits are no longer available, so it looks like I'm going to rebuild it, or buy a complete one so I can still use the machine while I'm' rebuilding another one.
Thanks
Scott

Re: JD 350 Straight - New to Me - Now What?
My 6-way blade joystick and linkage are real loosey-goosey. If anyone has a complete one (or good component parts) they can sell, please let me know.

Re: what is low pressure for a track grease gun
I'm far from an expert, but there are a lot of folks posting about the requirement for a low-pressure grease gun here and Yesterday's Tractors. Here's an example - http://www.jdcrawlers.com/messageboard/viewtopic.php?t=12163 I'm using JD Grade 0 corn head grease in my low pressure gun for the roller...
