Another way without pulling the track is block the front idler. Crack loose the 4 bolts on the track adjuster remove the grease bolt and allow idler to pull back a little then block the idler slide. I would use heavy C-clamp or vise grip on front and block of hard wood on rear so that it cannot move...

On mine I am cheap so I ran my replacement rubber vent hose down the right side of the tank then zip tied the end to a point just behind the air breather so it cant get dirt in it. My return to tank line is also rubber pressure fuel hose with fittings. OEM is steel lines.

My rails and pins/bushings are worn. The pins have been turned and the middle is almost half what ends are. The Rails are worn and thin and where you can see the end of the pin is worn about half way up.

Got everything today was waiting on the porch from the UPS man. Everything is NAPA. Filters and housings all match, even the oil by pass filter has the small orifices and all. Better than expected especially at the price. Will definitely do business with them again.

Similar experience with my JD 440 ICD. I replaced the front cross bar on mine with a good solid used one. I was going to make new flanges and re-weld on but I got a good used one for about $100. The flange mounts had been welded so many times it was 2 inches closer on one side than the other. The fl...

If you have it apart, I would replace the whole package i.e. clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, pilot bearing and check the wear on the clutch pedal shaft it may need to have bushings installed. You don't want to get it all apart and put back together to tear into in a few weeks later becaus...

Lavoy, On Sunday I went to the NAPA store here locally to compare prices for the listed items. FleetFilter.com is actually a NAPA store in TX. They ship by UPS. I made an order today, I will tell you how long it takes to get. http://www.jdcrawlers.com/uploads/filter.jpg http://www.fleetfilter.com/in...

Yesterday was not so cold and I went to work trying to resolve the filter issue. Ended up with pulling the hood and the valve cover by the time I was done. I had to blow out all of the fuel system from the filter on. The NAPA filter is the right one I was missing the stop inside the canister that's ...

just put a tape to the sock filter it is hard to get an accurate measure due to its condition what I did get is - Width is just over 3" the inside diameter is 1" and Height is 5 3/4". The NAPA filter is basically the same except it is not a sock and is only 4 1/4" tall. My mistake on the Hastings nu...

JD 440ICD Fuel Filter Cross Ref Number

Does any one have the cross ref for the Fuel Filter JD Part #5196048. No one can find it, they keep telling me at NAPA they can only find the Oil Filter. I know they have a cross but even my JD Heavy Equipment guys tell me they no longer list one but can sell me the oil filter.
