So a 1963 vintage machine with an outside blade and a winch is likely to be the 13gpm Cessnas?
I asked because I'm considering using the hydraulic system to power a log splitter through some quick release fittings.

1010 hydraulic pump specs
I don't have my manuals handy and I'm trying to find the pressure and GPM specs for the hydraulic pump on the 1010c.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I read a story in the last week about a mandated 10% bio-diesel / diesel mix for a bunch of school buses. It was in Minnesota or Wisconsin if I remember. The attempt to be "Green" left them with a fleet of vehicles full of gelling fuel. The buses either wouldn't start or would fail mid route. It see...

Weather in my part of Maine has been all over the place this month, but looks like it's finally settled into winter. We have 4 or 5 inches on the ground and expect a pretty good amount this weekend. I grew up in Western Washington and my sister tells me they go a huge amount in the Arlington area. S...

Parts search
I'm still tearing my 1010 down. Aside from the track frames, I'm very upbeat about what I'm finding. I have a small list of items I'll need to source and I'm hoping I'll have some luck here. 1. 1 right side idler bracket (#T 10024 T) 2. 1 idler bracket clamp. my parts book calls it a "Guide" (#T 166...

1010 track frames
I've moved my 1010 into the shop and started tearing it down. It's obvious the machine has been used hard over it's life. The mounting plates for the outside blade have been hacked up a fare amount and one side was welded to the track frame. The track frames have been repaired more than once and are...

Note very fast. I found it pretty brutal to run the dozer in high gear along my road, so I decided to spare the machine the abuse while towing it. I kept speeds to below 5mph while moving it. I was also towing is on a gravel road. Nice, Now you don't need a trailer to tow that baby down the road. Wo...

My method for moving a dead 1010C
Months ago I post a question here about moving a dead machine. Winter is fast approaching here in Maine and I wanted my 1010 in the shop so I could dig into it. My solution to moving it was to remove the dozer blade and make a trailer hitch attachment. It works pretty well. The holes in the attachme...
