If your looking to know how thick the ice needs to be, give the king of obsolete an email. Has an amazing collection of different restored crawlers in northern Manitoba. Runs the ice up there all the time. Although he doesn't have any jd crawlers he has about a dozen internationals and cats. I'm sur...

I have a 420 with 4 bolt pads and a 40 with 2 bolt pads. I even have some pads that look to be 6 bolts or a generic pad, might be that someone used 4 bolt pads and drilled them to fit the 2 bolt. Are the 4 bolt pads for 420 and later or is there 420's with 2 bolt pads? Just curious in my quest to fi...

I've had some casings welded and it took the welder a lot of time to do it, but for a broken ear wasn't that bad, an ...

Some more pics of the hydraulics after i put new rams and hoses on. Had to cut the old rams and there mounts off to get these ones to work. Now it barely creeps and i'm not dumping oil from the rams. If i get a chance later i will rebuild the valves. Got a pic of the holt plate on the blade as well....

420c flat track pads
Is it possible to get the flat track pads? I have the field pads now but would like to switch to the flat ones. I guess if the price is unreal then i might look at making a set.

I re aligned the blade mounts and put new bolts in as some were rusted and a couple were broken. I'll ...

The 420 i got in Washington from Fogswamp had the same blade, mine says holt on the front, might be different on yours but i swear the blade is the same. I have the gearmatic winch on mine, carco is owned by the same company that owns gearmatic now. I used a 7000lb trailer to haul the crawler from T...
