Rust
I have been using a product called Fluid Film with good results. It's not a thin product and dosen't run off but still penatrates and lubes. It has nice smell when you put the "Heat wrench" to it.

The answer to your DAH question is not so much dah as darn. The cap you refered to next to the F-N-R lever in the filler and has a dipstick attached. I went thru the transmision on a 430 last year and was able to get most bearings and seal at the local bearing store.

Engine Plug
Dan, The JD part # is M 108 T. John Deere is pretty Proud of the plugs with a cost of $11.25 each. The out side Dia. is listed with Deere as either 1.927" or 1.951". I think I got the last one I used form an engine rebuilding shop. They also installed the Rear Cam Bearing wrong. Get yourself a parts...

Camshaft Plug
There is a plug to fill that hole and it's alot eaiser to put in before installing the flywheel.

440 reverser
