That's great feedback guys...i appreciate all the comments! I think i'll try flushing it one more time and put in the JD Radiator fluid again (the good stuff). If that fails, i might consider buying/replacing the radiator... But like you said, its old, it's done its job...it was in its prime when i ...

Guys, I can't figure out why this dozer keeps overheating and running up to 220 degrees (190 degrees seems normal). It got soo hot once that i had to replace the rings and head gasket (all else looks good). I replaced the thermostat with a 195 degree open, i cleaned out the radiator fins, flushed it...

Thanks for that digitup...i tried making a wood jig using the same concept as you described, but that didn't work due to my poor accuracy with a BFH...i'll switch to a steel jig like you suggested. I had no luck searching ebay and Amazon for a used technical manual, i guess i just hafta break down a...

Steering clutch plate replacement/breaking track

Anyone know a easy way to replace the clutch plates (left side)? How about...is there a handy dandy tool i can use to break the track (instead of beating it with a BFH)?
