oldmetalmender, we are all in this together. My 450C needed this adjustment made to it and I did a lot of research before doing it. The hardest art for me was getting the pipe plug removed, it got rounded out so I had to remove the top of the trans to get the block off so I could machine it out. Th...

Excellent Drloch. Thank you for taking the time to post. I'll be able to do some work next week after the gauge arrives and I get some stuff done for a relative. I prefer to do all my own work. I have rebuilt a lot of things. It's new ground working on this type of equipment. It is exciting for me a...

Thank you Mark. I am still waiting for the gauge and hose to show up. I had 5 gauges in the drawer. All 100 PSI or less. I have a 300 PSI on the way. I am currently using the clutch and going slow on the shifts. I tried not using it and it just bangs to much. Now I am wondering if I was touching the...

Well yesterday I needed to do some snow clean up. I definitely have a lot of things needing adjustment. The reverser bangs pretty hard at only 1800 RPM after a slow shift back. I read the manual in detail. I need to start with the engine clutch, the linkages, and then check pressures and timing. and...

Well hopefully it's just late this year. I know everybody needs their snow packs. Listing to the NOAA radio and records set, it seems that this stuff does happen. Hopefully things will cycle around. Last year was light for us. We also had a 26,000 acres forest fire that made it just 2.5 miles from u...

I have enough to share. The long term neighbors say this is a short year. Yesterday I almost could not make it to the main road. The thaw and packed ice on the driveway out nearly stuck our Suby all wheel drive several times. I used the 450 to do the main clearing of ice and the backhoe to clean it ...

Well to top it all off, we got a good 7-8 inches of snow last night and about 10 am it turned to rain. I had to spend the morning in town. Got home and plowed, (with a quad) shoveled, and used the snow blower till dark. I am seriously tired. I just sold a western plow. It was too heavy and I am defi...

There are few things that need adjusting on my 450. And from your guys input I can see this is definitely one of them. The brakes come in late, the steering clutches seem OK and in my notes from previous owners I see notes on adjusting the brakes and how one of the ratchet springs appears to be brok...
