Re: Seeking advice on replacing high pressure hydraulic line in a 450B

Welcome to the Board. Did you purchase a pdf copy of John Deere TM1033 or something else? It has the typical hydraulic system info. The copy of that technical manual I have shows circuits and has a good bit of info on the system and components for loaders and dozers. If you are looking for the manua...

Re: 2-53 swap into a gas 440 worth it?

If all the parts for the 440ICD are there why not rebuild it? Is the reverser still with it? That goes between the engine and transmission. You would still have your 440IC running to use while you do that. As noted the ICD used a heavier drive train, so to do it right, and expect it to last, you wou...

Re: little help please

Welcome to the Board. Yes, the Web Links Board was the wrong place to post this. It will likely be moved to the Late Models Board when a moderator sees it. I don't know of a separate manual for the 3325 winch. The winch info, for the model winch the factory used on a machine, is usually included in ...

Re: my crawler wont move

You say you have the engine free. Does that mean you have it so it turns over or does it mean it is running and are trying to turn the rest of the drive line under power. Just looking to clarify what you call free. I agree with Stan it sounds like you might just as well get going on pulling it apart...

Re: Jd 350 boom cylinder disassembly

I can't see your cylinder but it sounds like you have the type where the gland nut holds the gland (I think you may find this part called the rod guide in some manuals) out against that snap ring to remove any play and to keep the gland from moving into the barrel during operation. That internal sna...

Re: jd450 crawler

boccop,

Just curious. What is the complete serial number of your 450? I'm just wondering if it is a straight 450 or a different series.

Re: jd450 crawler

I would say it would be best to reseal them, the system is designed for them to be there. You might be able to cobble something together to bypass them but it could lead to other issues and it would likely steer harder.

Re: Help identify this 550 dozer

Welcome. The serial number/product identification number should be on the front panel of the battery box, right where you would see it as you get on the left side of the machine. The machine serial number is key, not the engine serial number (and there is no cross reference between those numbers). T...

Re: White Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas to all. It was looking good here, we had white on the ground yesterday. Today its 55, rain, heavy at times, along with strong gusting winds today. The 6 to 8" of snow, other than a few piles and packed spots, is gone already. Some mild to moderate areas of rivers flooding is expected...

Hi gus,

He had posted about this on Yesterday's Tractors Crawler Forum, along with a Terratrac GT-25. When asked over there he posted his location as " Near Zanesville in southeastern Ohio". There is a picture of each one in one of his posts in the thread over there.

Re: 440 icd water pump

It has been years since I have worked on a Jimmy, but I think the 53 series pumps were the same, other than you need to know if it is a left or right hand pump. But don't buy one based on my memory. Send Lavoy an email or give him a call, he might be able to supply a pump. You say local dealer? Is t...

Re: Leaking injectors

I'm a bit confused by your description of this and a fuel return vent line. I believe your return fuel line goes in the bottom of the tank, a few inches to the left of the supply line to the transfer pump. It is a submerged dump, not atmospheric, so you wouldn't get air back out of it, or fuel, if t...

Might be just my computer but your picture file does nothing when I try to look at it. Copying and pasting it in a web search it indicates that C is a drive on your computer. As far as I know this site will not accept pictures direct from a phone or computer, as some sites will. You should set up an...
