Re: Diagnose the problem??

Fuel bowl had a little in it, mostly clean flakes.

The filter on the fitting in the carb had a lot of junk in it! I will make a run up the canyon mowing again to see if it behaves.

If it does, back to town to mow the hill.

Re: Diagnose the problem??

Missing on both.

I will get some time to check everything this weekend. I'll post the exam results. I hope it's not in the tank, it's almost full! 😂

Re: Diagnose the problem??

Almost a full tank of gas. I've mowed these exactly like I was doing today. I plan on pulling the bowl, also the line at the carb to see if fuel is flowing. When I loaded the first time, it was missing and came down fairly hard and that's when it started running fine. Thinking back, when I decided t...

Diagnose the problem??

I had to mow some steep lots today with the 420. I mowed the lower one which isn't very steep. Turned the crawler up hill and headed for the upper lots. It started missing badly, nearly quiting. I swung it sideways over a bank and back towards my truck 1/4 mile away. I was trying to decide if I shou...

Re: 2010c Engine Swap

There was one with the Wisconsin conversion along a road I travel occasionally. It kept moving and I'm assuming it was being used. It looked like a late 40. There were parts of another one there for a while but they disappeared. Finally had a 4 sale sign on it and it also disappeared.

Re: 10-10 Crawler loader

My brother used to restore antique engines. He said warm the engine and then put a big chunk of dry ice on the piston and it would literally fall out.

Re: 420C and a flail mower?

I mow 5 acres of very steep hillside every year with a brush hog. It's a 6 ft and I have modified the upper link hookup on it to allow extra movement should I hit a high ditch or slope. Sitting still, I have lifted the back of the crawler off the ground with the 3 pt.

Re: Virus help if anyone needs it, what do you guys think?

I recently made hand sanitizer. RED and only RED containers of heat fuel treatment is 99% isopropyl alcohol. It easy to find and fairly cheap. (Yellow container is methanol, poison, DO NOT use yellow) I used 2 containers, 12 oz each. 24 oz alcohol and mixed with 10.5 oz container of Aloe. Well over ...

Re: komatsu pc10-6 mini excavator

If it hasn't been repainted and redecalled, look up the model. Look for manuals for that model. If they are available, good chance it's not grey market. Look at the manufacturer web site for the model.

Don't buy grey market!!

Re: komatsu pc10-6 mini excavator

That Yanmar was grey market. VERY hard to impossible. Can't get service or parts manuals. Kubota, easy, local dealer will get anything. I'm pretty sure US versions of any of the big names should be easy. My new tracks were after market supplied. Same on a lot of non specialty parts that interchange....

Re: komatsu pc10-6 mini excavator

Rubber tracks, look for weather checking. How easy does it start when fully cold, like early morning cold. Have a thumb? Look at bucket teeth. 18 inch minimum bucket width. Quick attach bucket? How tight are boom/bucket pins. FWIW, I have a 4000 lb Kubota rubber track (500 hours, second set, factory...
