Re: 2010 wheel tractor ....

Thanks, Jim. Have not seen it yet, brother found it. I can at least get it hauled for reasonable price. The guy I would have haul it charges by mile and weight now. Used to have a flat fee(+ mileage) for tractors up to 70hp. But now with his new truck it is flat fee + mileage + $100 over 8000#. Forg...

2010 wheel tractor ....

We are looking at a 2010 wheel tractor, 60's? vintage gasoline. Clutch stuck, maybe a few more problems but all there.
What is the weight of this tractor?
Price is reasonable.

Re: Soon to restart on my 420C

Lavoy, I was digging in the old posts in this forum and found a thread called "All green crawlers". In your reply, you state that the "all green crawlers" were all 1956 model year. With serial numbers from 80,001 thru 94,818. My crawler has a serial number starting with 92,8XX. Would that make mine ...

Re: Found a 1010 or 2010 No data plate

Thanks, it will probably go high. Last dozer this place had was a Case 310, and it was a hunk of rusty metal. It went for $3200. The bidding got heated, between two Case fans. I talked with the losing bidder, he dropped out when the bid reached $3200. He said that he would have let the other guy hav...

Re: Found a 1010 or 2010 No data plate

Okay, that was simple.... It is a 1010. No one was around when I looked at it so I could not start it.
Any idea what its worth, it is at an consignment auction house.

Found a 1010 or 2010 No data plate

Lavoy and the rest of the group...
How do you tell a 1010 from a 2010?
I have photos of the dozer but I won't be here on the laptop for long.
It is a gasser. has an inside blade frame.

Re: 450B Priming Fuel system

Sardog, you might want to check to see if the is a heavy acclumation of that sludge in the bottom of the fuel tank. A friend had his D4 quit running out in the woods because of the sludge plugged up the fuel supply line. We ended up pumping the fuel out of the tank, removing it and hauling the tank ...

Soon to restart on my 420C

Since I have most of other projects done around here and am ready to go back into the trades. I will be returning to the restoration on my crawler. I have one more project to do before the crawler, that is replacing the roof on the shop as it is leaking. Once that is done I can move my machines into...

Yes, that is very true.
We have had too much rain here to do much digging.
I bought a Samsung J7 Sky Pro smart phone, so I could get back online. So I will be around more.

Lu47Dan is still around

I am still alive and working on things, I had trouble with my phone line that carries the internet. A lightening strike took out the cable and the fused it to the conduit, the phone company will plow in a new cable but only on the most direct line. So I am working on my old hoe to cure the leaks and...

If you have the ability to rebuilt your present alternator, Jegs sells a rebuild kit for the 10SI alternator.

I have done quite a few of them with this kit over the years.

Stan, I agree with you, I see 30W ND at TSC all the time too. My problem is finding 20W ND for winter use in my Wisconsin TJD's.
