according to my jd440 ic manual...the rear hub and clutch assembly require to be pressed out. the front clutch is removed with the propeller shaft and the differential by using the propeller shaft as well... there is a 2 13/16 hub nut with locking tabs that has to be removed before the rear clutch c...

Yes am thinking more and more going 1/2 ton my 89 lucky to get maybe 10mpg and aint hauling jd440 yet....I have truck and suv and thinking can cut expenses as truck sets almost 9mos of year..bed..frame etc nice on it...got a few terminates in the wheel well edges and rockers but pretty good and soli...

been so long since i had emission problems i completely forgot about that aspect in regards to diesels....thin i may well opt to choose a gas job...since i don't know squat about diesels....thats why i liked my old 89 gmc...dont need echeck!!!!! for the kind of money they want for these i could comp...

Several ways to do it...do you use camera or phone to take pics.?.....

well i had to get the rear skid plate off!!!!.....still could not get it to move with any of my wrenches or the square socket..... So...i welded a 15/16 nut cause bolt hole big enough to get over the square first weld would not hold it....so back to it again and this time was able to get the booger ...

got it in garage now....mud all over...maybe can dry a bit.....surely wanted to take tank off and work on it...but that seem like a real job and too much chance of breaking something else...it has inline spin on filter on the hard pipe from the pump and the six way valve/controls right over the top ...

well it looks like the sunex set aint a'going to do the job yet.....gonna have to get her in garage and get to weld a nut to the boogered plug and then use my rachet/sockets....hope heat from welding is enough to loosen and with nut be able to get her off....i really hate working on the darn thing i...

Sunex tools has the set of 8 ...4 male and 4 female 7/16 1/2 9/16 and 5/8....impact sockets....$50..2 day delvry...now to see what gonna take to get her off....should i flush with kerosene?? looks pretty milky and how does this system get water in ???? condensation????? and have to crack the hose co...
