sounds right another way is to push idler out if you have a porta power brace back to support roller bracket that works better

remove grease fitting wedge a block on sprocket rotate in reverse to move idler back then unbolt adjuster pull idler ahead and adjuster can be removed

Got my no start problem resolved replaced battery cables with new 2- 0 cables soldered ends on removed solenoid and cleaned had to bleed injectors twice and removed air filter to
get the either where it was needed even did some pushing dirt for an hour with the old timer !!

took my battery tester and checked battery volts cranking 10 1/2 at starter terminal 8 1/2 definite not getting volts

I have a disconnect on the machine one battery nearly new one is new was started in january ordered a high torque starter from D B electric going to replace positive cable have ground from disconnect to engine not going to be able to work for a few days let you know what I find

now that I decided to sell my dozer it does not want to start, turning over very slowly had same problem with my 302 Jd tractor turned out to be fuel injection pump was seized up i ended up braking the drive shaft of the pump drive trying not to do that again ,anyone have same problem ???? JIM

Have a straight 350 1966 TF43D 038875 six way blade new chains pads sprockets replaced four new rollers three are old grease type front idlers are good been apart from front to middle then from rear to middle re core on radiator new water pump bearing new seal kit in hydraulic pump single wire alter...

Would just go through your john dealer there prices are decent I find there prices are cheaper on filters than auto parts stores and you are getting OEM.

you most likely have a wear sleeve spedi sleeve on your crank pulley they are replaceable heat the sleeve that will expand it and replace available

while your at that stage check your steel lines that go down the frame for the trans filter have a knack for leakage !!

I find that the filters from the dealer are cheaper than most auto parts stores so I use them all of the time !!

could possibly be a add on filter years ago I had some canister filters that used rolls of toilet paper did a good of keeping the oil clean you will have to open it up and see what is inside.
