Re: 420C
There is a 420 on CRAIGSLIST in Leyden,NY. It has 3 rollers p/track and a single lift cylinder for the blade. It doesn't have the pressed steel pads. They are the newer type. Does this sound like a 420 or is it an MC or 40C with newer style pads? I thought the 3 roller machines were only MC. gregjo...

Berco is good quality, no doubt about it. All Deere undercarriage from the 80's somewhere til fairly recently was made by Berco. My beef with them has been pricing. Last time I checked, new Berco 350 rollers were about $50/each higher than the other brands. On a $400 D8 roller, that might be a non-...

That looks like a nice machine, complete with fenders and sprocket covers. I thought it was a Greenville Steel Car blade or is that another manufacturer? I also would like pictures of the root rake. I am going to build one, but mine will hang off the blade. This way if I drive way out to a field, I...

On a two cylinder or any other or the old Deere crawlers that does not work for a daily living, I doubt there is a difference Maybe on the bigger stuff, there might be a difference, but even than, I am skeptical. I don't sell any Berco any more, the price had gotten way out of hand. Lavoy That's on...

Re: 420 t0 350 track links question
Most places that sell aftermarket chain has sprocket rims, their about 125.00. The rim is the outer edge of the sprocket where you just torch off the outer 2-1/2" or so of the 420 teeth then weld on the 350 rim.

undercarriage brand reviews
Hello again all, I am looking to purchase a set of 350 chains, pads, and sprockets. I was curious if anyone has purchased a set of Berco, Trek, or Valuepart undercarriage? They all seem to have the same warranty and they all seem to be made overseas. I was told that Valuepart was once owned by John ...

LOVE to see a photo of the root rake! I'm always up for more fabrication on my crawler.hydrogeo wrote:I have the same blade as well. My machine came with an interchangeable root rake that looks too nice to be homeade. Pull two pins to swapthe out thethe blade goras the rake. It may have been another option.
