Re: 450C final update and valuation

That makes me feel better about bringing back my 450c. No burns but I did almost remove a finger with the lid on the hydraulic tank.

It's a machined part. Does the edge have tool marks on it?

I'd have to say if it is worn, the brake must have been dragging alot. Is there heat or metal to metal damage? Is the band wear area flat? Is there any brake material on the band?

Out of the shop

After unscrewing up the right final drive (and brake and clutch) and having a joyful time with aftermarket tracks, its all together and moving under it own power again. I still have the cockpit deck plates out for pressure washing and maintenance but Im about ready to go make a mess of things. http:...

I think making memories like this my main job for my kids. Yeah, ok, feeding, clothing and generally educating them is in there too. My oldest memories are following my dad around doing turns on his little JD in Pennsylvania when I was 2ish. That was back when dirt was new and they had just invented...

I spent a year working for Facebook. I no longer have a 'page' there though. After deleting it, I noticed the sun shining, heard birds chirping and I definitely need to go mow the lawn :P

You may have to make it a requirement for new members to fill in this area or not allow them to click continue. To the members that have not put in their address, they are not asking for a specific address. A vague one of town and state are sufficient. Thankyou for your time. Small world, I used to...

450C Headless master track pin

I've been looking at breaking the track on my 450C. The parts catalog lists 2 types, a headed type with a retainer clip and a pressed in headless type. I have the headless type and from the stories I've heard, its quite the rodeo to get them out. Some say just burn it and buy a new one. After spendi...

I have a hydraulic gearmatic that came off a gas 1010. It's part of my dad's estate and I'm the executor. Location is iowa, dismounted sitting on a pallet in his old shop. If you have any interest let me know... It's funny, I came her to ask a Q about my 450 and been wondering what to do about that ...
