Slipping is engineered into the machine on a loader. Without it you will be putting big stress on the undercarriage, reverser, and steering clutches. Having said that, I have a 350b with dozer pads and I like it a lot! It is easy however, to toss a track on a turn, and I know I can stall it dead whe...

If you get this crawler working it sounds like you have a lot of new parts that should go for a while. It still sounds to me like there is not enough fuel getting to the injection pump. Or perhaps the tank is not venting and you have a vacuum. Is there a step up fuel pump on it or just gravity to th...

I have a 1010 and it has a bracket for a backhoe. I cant recall if like in my 350s the hoe hoses must be connected when there is no attachment or, it will stall the engine. I keep it at a friends place or I would go and look. Do you have hydraulics on the back ?

my 450b had the same symptoms this fall. I changed the fuel filters, no improvement. So I took of the fuel line off at the fuel pump and blew out the line back to the tank. Problem solved.

That crawler is a thing of beauty, especially because of where it is. If only it could talk, imagine the stories. Those pads did not bend without some resistance. Seat time on that one will be extra sweet.

Alton, you will need the service manual as Lavoy suggested. Get one from John Deere on line (that is what I recommend)or find one on e-bay or somewhere like that. Compared to many on this site I am not an expert however, I am a few years ahead of where you are now so I will try to help today. When y...

I bought a 450 outside dozer a while back that had spun a sleeve on the crank after the fuel got into the oil. I bought it that way and the seller thought it had likely ran for quite a while before the damage occurred without the operator being aware of the problem. The crank is beyond repair. (I ha...

Somewhere in the archives on this forum, I read about inserting copper pipe into the hole up to the end of the broken bolt and, then carefully arc welding inside the pipe until you build it out enough to attach a head on it. I have not yet tried this myself but I will when I am in your situation. So...

My original parts Deere ripper on my 350c hangs on hoe hooks. If I installed quick couplers it would come off and on in a minute. Like Stan had, I also have a ripper set up that bolts to the back of a 350b, no bracket involved and this one is a few hours work to put on. It is however after market, n...

On that rad hose, the whole nose tips forward. It is heavy so be extra careful. You have to remove bolts at the lower front first. look it over carefully before you start !
