Welcome. I believe you're going to have to pull the nose and radiator to get the fan off. Neutral Safety switch will be located on the left had side of the trans. Mine which is a turbo version calls for BCI group 30H, but, I went to Sams Club and got one that provided the best cranking amps, only us...

I fully understand what they meant by the 75 HP. Regardless, when you get that brush hog loaded up you'll really find out how much ass your loader motor has. Just remember when it stalls out you need to get it started again as quickly as possible and run it unloaded for a minute or so. I've got expe...

I have a wire like that hanging on my 450C, it was for the oil pressure sending unit. Was electric now it's mechanical. Hopefully it wasn't in neutral or the switch is bad.

Lavoy, Tigerhaze, you are correct. He needs to find out how the hydraulic system is/was designed or something is going to blow up. If the system is using open center valves or what is also called tandem center valves. A & B block P to T in the center condition. The T port of the of the 1st valve goe...

Lavoy, very well said especially the "You can talk to your mechanic, the Amish, or your local Tarot card reader", I agree with you. This is what I do for living but on the industrial, testing and entertainment side. You can't bend the laws of physics although I've seen a number of people who have tr...

Next time it does it, hurry up and pull the fuel cap off and see if you hear vacuum, or the engine picks up speed. Lavoy I thought of that one as well but since he already had the fuel tank off for cleaning, checked the fuel lines and replaced the filter the next likely source is the injector pump....

Hello and welcome to the forum. From your description it sounds like the injector pump may be the culprit, mine did the same thing. Search for "Mouse Turds" or John Deer Inject pump Mouse turds" that is what the pellathane/phenolic material in the governor weight retainer cage looks like when it sta...

Stan, that is a interesting solution. Would it require a speed increase at the pto? Like a chain and sprockets or something to boost the RPM? Scott I agree, don't use the loader pump/hydraulic system use a separate system. The PTO ratio is close to 2 to 1, (1.9). Just need to size a pump to provide...

Good to see you got it fixed. I'm curious though, where does the anti freeze come into the pump R & R? I rebuilt my pump after the governor assembly decided to do the mouse turd thing. I didn't remove any coolant lines. Since I've done my repair I've had a small fuel weeping leak in that same are. N...

Great story Mark. Can you post up a picture of what you made. I've got a 450C and I don't always set the brake often as I should. Generally if I'm getting off the machine it's to load up the bucket with brush, small stumps...... and I'll idle it down and shut it off. My property and the neighbor I'v...

It's down by the brake pedal, it's a little latch that you would swing up that holds the brake pedal down and the brakes on. You need to press down on the brake pedal to swing it out and off.
