OP is asking about the transmission, I believe. The clutch houses did not have a common sump in the straight and B series, as stated the steering clutches should be dry. The C series can be converted to a common sump, i think some of the late C's came from the factory with common sumps, correct me i...

Grind off the old rivet heads( or unscrew the screws), remove the old rubber mounts. Fit new mounts, placing the all the rivets in the same direction. You will need a proud 1/8 to 3/16" of the rivet sticking through the rubber mount. If they are longer you may have to trim the rivet back a bit with ...

Until recently Berco made undercarraige parts for Deere. I think they had a "falling-out". I agree the Korean manufactures are good, also. Bruce

Whether you sell it or not is a personal decision. I find these machines useful, dependable, easy to use and maintain compared to a modern equivalent. Old does not mean useless. There is a a market if you do sell. Take care, Bruce

Will a bucket interchange between a 350c and a 450c

I have found a 4 in 1 bucket for a 350C and wondered if it would fit my 450C. It would be simple to measure but i dont have a 350 and the bucket is some distance away. Thank you, Bruce

If they were similar in condition it would be a no-brainer. But it sounds like the 450 is in better shape than the 450C. If you can store inside, want something to use now, and dont mind occasional dry clutch adjusments go with the 450. If you want a project to work on a slowly and improve the 450c ...

Lavoy, Can you explain to me what you mean by shift speed can be adjusted, please. My first reverser was the gear-drive type on a 2nd phase 420C. Of course, you had to come to a complete stop with this reverser or face the consequences!! This made me develop the habit of stopping with direction chan...

I have had a 450c track loader for about 15 years and have rebuilt a lot of it. Has this problem recently changed or has it been there since the beginning? How much experience have you had running a H-L-R trans? If i run my machine above 2,000 Rpm, direction changes can be violent. To be easier on m...

450c winch drive/spool valve rebuild

Im getting ready to remove the 3325 winch from the 450c. I have been unable to find part #'s for the winch drive bearing/seal/gasket and the parts needed to rebuild the spool valve. I have tried my operators manual, service manual and parts manual. I did find some info on jdpc.deere.com in the 350c ...
