2010 erratic rpm
Hello- I have a diesel 2010 and runs good except for every once in awhile the rpm's take off on their own like its gonna runaway but does not climb that high. It will rev way to high idle though on its own and then come back down to where its supposed to be. I noticed that it also tends to happen wh...

Wish-full thinking...but Im gonna give it a try!
Just thought I would share this little science experiment and get some opinions and maybe help others out by passing it along. A couple years ago I was introduced to using plain white vinegar as a de-ruster for small parts. I have since upgraded to a 2 gallon bucket with lid that I keep and use it q...

I know anything that could grow in diesel fuel must be pretty nasty stuff. On boats/tugs/ships you can actually see it inside and taking hold on racor filters and housings. We always use pressure differential gauges on the bigger filter housings so we can easily determine how plugged the filters are...

Just another point for the young man (and I only say that because you mentioned you are 22 and I dont want to see you get overwhelmed). We just want to see you stick it with and are not sure how much you have been around engines. I am not some know-it-all by any means, but I have had many an engine ...

-Thanks Tigerhaze. There is about 2 1/2"-3" left of adj at the front trackframe. As for the serial # I dont know...the plate is missing of course. I just bought fuel filters and I think there was a break at # 24xxx- where they took either a fuel filter with attached bowl or an element just inside th...

Yea- I really lucked out...and ALMOST feel guilty! The sad part was it was the ol mans tractor and his kid had no interest in it. He posted the ad for an 820 crawler (loader model#) and I figured someone was going to get it so why not me. The kid advertised 2k but said anything over or equal to scra...

New to me 2010

Picked it up Wed and it drove, steered, reversed, etc. All hyd seemed to work and seems to run just fine. Found it off craigslist and got it for $1500 with the hoe. I cant wait to get it together and...

Just for the record we use something called bio-bore when dealing with algae. Its very concentrate and very toxic so use carefully. Keep lots of fuel filters handy because when it kills the algae growing on the sides of the tank it releases and filters plug fast. We try and treat large tanks (50-150...

Sounds froze to me also. What you are hearing seems to be the bendix and starter gear coming up hard against the flywheel (which it should). If it was mine I would pull the spark plugs back out and pour/squirt some ATF fluid and diesel into cylinders and let soak a few days...or weeks even...in the ...

Thanks again Tiger- I def can't afford both but for 2k I dont think I can pass it up for a 2010. And yes it started great- I didnt even know about the glowplugs! But now that you mention glowplugs...here is my theory. First off the key switch was kinda broken and the detents for left and right posit...

Thanks for all the help and tips...will definately check into all these areas. Hey Tiger is the HLR disconnect you mentioned down at your left foot? A "T" rod that pulls up and notches into a relief in the floor plate? I actually went and looked at a diesel 2010 this afternoon since it was so close ...

Thanks for the reply Tigerhaze...After I re-read my post I realized there where too many questions and not just a simple question/reply. Anyway I get a bit excited with the thought of a new machine...Im sure everyone here can can understand a little crawler-itis fever right? Yes I will surely replac...

Hello and Happy New Year! I know all you guys always get these type of posts as to value of machines, accessories etc. with little info to go on but I am just looking for a little feedback/knowledge about a loader I am looking into the past couple days. First- I could not make out the serial # at al...
