Can you show pictures of blade and cylinders, and front of the 1010 C, that way someone can give you better and more positive and safe, help.

Don’t forget to have cyl head rebuilt( by a good rebuilder/shop) and check it for cracks first

I have found a running wreck of a 440 ic but a diesel, the one I have is a gas, 1958 by serial #, is the engine clutch the same- gas or diesel? Trans- or is all diesels 5 spd? Are any of the drive line parts heavy- duty, because of the diesel- S. clutches or brakes and finals?

I found by accident, a cyl head and block usage by casting numbers. Seems like it goes back to 40’s, and up to middle 90’s. it is 600 + pages and a PDF file. All car makers, HD equipment co., on some casting number pics of cyl heads- it shows original cyl head height, valve height etc etc. It is not...

My 440 gas is cracked. In looking for new/ different one, I found out they are hard to come by. Mine is M 3995 T casting number. I also hear the later 440 had a slightly higher compression head. I don’t know of any other way to repair that broken bolt. That is why I always put grade 8 bolts, and use neverseize upon assembly, of any bolted together piece. Grade 5 twist off to easy. Good luck!
