Then my hardware is missing as the rear of the tank appears like it's resting on the loader cradle. Thanks.

Toivo---I can very easily move the entire assembly by hand, but like Jac and I said, that adjustment pin is not lined up in the center of the access hole.

From owning 3 350-450's,I have never seen any real need to do this procedure as my screens never had any debris in them.Doesn't mean it can't happen but the tranny on these tractors really don't allow/generate much debris. The reverser now is another story. That will get contamination in it from norma...

2-53 oil filter?

How come some 2-53's came through with no engine oil filter? I pulled the hood for the first time today and she's just not there.Doesn't seem right.

fuel tank support

Where or how does the diesel tank on a 440 get supported in the rear of the tank?I can only see the front mounting, the rear sort of sits on that steel cradle some but that doesn't seem right as it can move around some.

More reverser dilemma

Need some advise from the very best before I go split my machine apart.I can not send my reverser lever on my 440ICD forward enough for either the reverser to engage forward mode or to get to the adjusting mechanism.I had Jac come over and lend me a hand for advise this afternoon for the adjustment ...

positive ground

Just noticed the previous owner has the battery polarity backwards on my newly aquired 440ICD.I see it's supposed to be positive ground. What damage do you think was done?

2-53 air box clean out

Just got my new CD thanks to JAC.Lots of good stuff in there--get dizzy scrolling though.Maybe scrolling too fast because I saw mention of a routine maintenance of blowing air into the airbox on the 2-53 but couldn't find the procedure. Anyone?

dale- There is a sight glass on the side of the hydraulic oil tank that has a plexiglass lens that is cracked. There was oil all over the right side track and the ground where the crawler has been sitting for years. I hauled it on a 40ft. 5th wheel flatbed with a deck about three feet off the groun...

Ont time I rolled a small 1 ton roller over on just the slightest side hill.Thank God I didn't have the seat belt on as it had no ROPS.I was quick enough to bail out on the high side and only bruised my butt some.I get on some real steep side slopes every once in a while with my 450D dozer. That is a...

reverser

Thanks Toivo. I hope that will work for mine because I don't recognize those pics.My reverser handle pivots down by your left foot and has a grease fitting. Why did Deere make this adjustment so difficult with the loader? It's a redundant question--I already know the answer.

I'll have to look to see if it has a dipstick on the tranny.I don't actually know what year it is because the ID tag is missing{actually no trace it was ever there or elsewhere}from the dash. All I have is the ID tag on the loader boom that says model 831 and serial #1983.So,in what position is the P...
