2010 Serial Numbers

Here is a listing of the years and serial numbers for the 2010 series. Crawlers and Wheel tractors shared the numbers. I lifted them from: http://www.johnnypopper.com/weirddeere/NG/The_2010Wheel.html 2010 Serial Numbers All 2010s used the same serial number range Year Beginning S/N 1960 10001 1961 1...

Who could resist?
It would be great to have a calendar. Even if my crawler wasn't on it.
The best picture I have of the 2010 is posted on show-n-tell.
I'd be happy to send in more info if it makes the cut.

Hi Ron,
You've probably already got it out, but yes it does pull out through the clutch.
You may have to use a slide hammer. It can be a little stiff.

Ron, First thing to check is the oil cooler lines from your transmission filters to the heat exchanger under your radiator. Check full length for leaks. There are also some short lines that run along the right side of the transmission. You can pull the foot rest to get a look at them. Lastly, on the...

Steve, Sounds like one or both of your fuel supply lines is a little plugged up. If I remember correctly, there are two supply lines and one return line on your tank. Regarding the winch; on mine there is a little lever at the back of the cat to disingage the winch drive. The clutch pedal has no eff...

CCWKen, Thanks for the reply. I believe I've narrowed it down to the oil cooler. There is no transfer of water to the oil and, according to the John Deere dealer service manager, if I had a blown head gasket or cracked a cylinder liner, water would be showing up in the oil. Really happy to spend $30...

Bob, Two batteries? Are you sure you don't have a 450? A 1968 2010 would be one valuable machine, as none were made. Deere quit making them in 1965. Get your serial number and go to: http://www.tractordata.com/td/td59.html They have a listing of the serial numbers and the years they were used. Regar...

Engine oil in the radiator.

Hey Guys, I'm thinking it's going to be expensive. Engine oil is floating in my radiator. I bought a 410 JD diesel backhoe last September. I think it is around a 1974 model. I have no knowledge of the hoe's history. Engine starts a little hard in cold weather (30 seconds on the starter instead of th...

Look for cracks, loose bolts, and sloppy fits. I bought a 2010 bucket loader for parts and it had welds and stretched bolts all over it. Looked like it had been shook to pieces. It was in much poorer shape than my crawler though it was a couple of years newer. If you want to level a little bit of gr...
