People/companies that build industrial hydraulic power units would be able to duplicate the line. Where are you located?

Re: Help removing/dismantling a 450C starter
I bought the wrench, no love. Maybe got the wrong wrench but I ended up using extensions and a universal socket which worked the best.

Stan,
You wouldn't by chance have that PN? That sounds like something handy to have.

Re: Rotating flywheel for timing on 450c
WHen you remove the pin and cover from the left side at the flywheel you can get a screwdriver in the access hole to rotate the engine via the flywheel ring gear.

Recommend you replace the starter with a gear reduction starter. Mine starts much better with the newer style starter.

Re: Just bought a 350b Loader
Does it have a serial number tag on it? If so, you can get the year of it. You're gonna need some manuals as well. Look through some of the pother post's to find a link, or PM Lavoy. Hose's will from whomever you can get hoses from. I've used Aeroquip and Parker but I'm in the Hydraulic Industry and...

The scrapped block while unfortunate explains why it was having issues. Better to find out now.... to quote something I've seen posted elsewhere.

Re: JD450C third head gasket This is getting old
While not trying to start any oil related debates in your excellent thread, consider adding ZDDP to your engine oil for break-in if you are going to use a regular diesel oil. Newer oils, even diesel oils, have reduced the additives that reduce the wear of flat tappet/lifters. One of the last flat ta...

Very nice machine, well worth saving. I agree with Lavoy. I've bought stuff that was in worse shape that what I had. Having been there done that in the past you are going down the right road. After you are done you will know exactly what you have.

Re: 450G fuel in oil
If you've had the pump rebuilt recently more than likely the bushings are good. I think it's fairly common to tear the seals while installing the pump. I used a big zip tie to compress it till it started in the hole. Good luck. I used the tool (Stanadyne #13371) and the zip ties in the past. I beli...
