Re: JD 350
It looks pretty far down on the shaft. Have you used a micro-lubricant on all of the pivot points to help relieve any binding or corrosion? Take care to avoid contaminating the dry clutches and brake band. go to jdpc.deere.com search for "350" select the 350 crawler select the sectional index go to ...

Re: 450c hot hydraulic reservoir
Just to clarify the pop up will only pop up when using the lever to control the dozer blade. You have to watch it while actively moving the blade up/down. The filter is out-of-site and therefore out-of-mind. I would definitely change the filter. Slower movement in the blade after several hours of us...

Re: 450c hot hydraulic reservoir
Hello kodiakman 178, The hydraulic fluid can get warm, esp on a hot 90+ degree day with long hours of us. It probably should not be as hot as you describe. Couple questions or things to think about. Is the hydraulic fluid newer, clean, not milky, is the reservoir at the appropriate fill level in the...

I had noticed your absence and was curious. I am a private type person and was giving you your privacy. I'm glad you checked back in the forum. We all have a back story, challenges that we have gone through, are going through and some yet to come. As I age, I have realized life is quite different th...

Re: 1010/350 winch
To clarify my last paragraph, my understanding is there are two possible setups in the trans case: 1- a gear reduced PTO running at 540 RPMs with 2,400 engine RPMs. 2- a straight powershaft sending true engine RPMs. I guess the third option may be no internals, just PTO lever only(doubtful based on ...

Re: 1010/350 winch
I agree, it would be nice to have a winch. I have been looking and gathering pieces for a long time. I have just recently completed my setup. This is forum is a great source. When looking for antique forestry/construction equipment, the time to buy it is when you find it. The asking price is not hor...

Re: 1010/350 winch
If the 350 PTO is geared down to 540 RPM, will that RPM be enough to run the 3310 winch? I know for certain it would not be enough RPM to power the pump in a 3315 or 3325. But I know the 3310 is quite abit different

Re: 1010/350 winch
Good morning Don2018, Your question got me curious about the difference bxt the power take-off attachment and the winch driveshaft. I went to the parts books at jdpc.deere.com and looked up the 350 crawler. The power take-off and the winch driveshaft are definitely two different animals. The PTO sha...

Re: 1010/350 winch
I agree with Lavoy. Winch looks to be in good condition, but incomplete. More pics would be nice. It does have $500-800 fairleads on it, they appear to be in excellent condition. Based on my experience with JD winches, consider them inoperable and in need of major repair/rebuild/$$$ unless you can p...

Ritchie specs say the 2WD is 14,285 and max weight is 17,545- which I believe is their way of saying 4WD. Bruce

Re: LGP tracks and then some
Let the engine set for a day or two without running. Then unscrew the engine oil drain plug, down to the last thread. Make note of the first few drops of liquid before you plug the plug away. If clear water; there is hope. If it is anti-freeze; well there is not need for the pressure tester. Good lu...

I hope the water(or coolant?) in the engine compartment is condensation secondary to non-use and an extended period since the last service. Keep us posted, Bruce

Re: To buy or not to buy
If the isolator has been recently replaced, probably don't need to do anything else with it. I know some people would upgrade to the D series, if they were this deep into the machine and this was their "forever machine". Remember, the widepad option will have some value. Realize someone out there so...
