Ouch! Hopefully some rain is in the not too distant future. Wild fire burned within 500 yards of our house in 2018

Re: Full service on old 350B

Your local Brandt Tractor dealership should be able to get manuals for you. There is a filter in the reverser behind the plate on the right hand side of the reverser sump. I think the reverser and transmission each hold 9 quarts or litres of Hyguard or J20c spec equivalent fluid. JD undercarriage gr...

Re: 450c oil leaks

Rather than removing loader arms it is probably easier to remove complete loader assembly. Remove 4 pins that attach it to forward cross bar and aft attachment points. Need a good lifting setup though.

Re: JD 450C 3325 Winch issue

A medium size water pump plier works well for removing barrel bungs if you don't have a bung wrench. The upper jaw can often be hooked into bung enough to catch and then the handle provides good leverage to turn it out. Does not work on bungs with square drive

Re: 450 operators manual, anyone?

Trans temp sender is installed in round cover plate that covers transmission oil screen on RH side of transmission. You can see it if you look between side frame and belly pan on RH side

No way you could have messed something up installing the new line on the backhoe and you have some kind of hydraulic lock up like if hydraulic quick connects are not done up properly?

Re: JD350C - Doesn't Pull on Right Side

You can visually verify it is a 350C by looking under the seat. If there is a valve mechanism on top of each steering clutch housing with the steering linkage connected to it it is a C model

Re: 450C hydraulic pumps - differences between 6 way and manual blade

My understanding is 15 gpm pump is standard for dozers but 23 gpm is used if machine is running a back hoe attachment. My 450C with 6410 blade and 15 gpm pump is plenty fast. Also heard the 6 way blade is a little twitchy with 23 gpm pump

Have you tried doing a rubbing on your ID tag? Hold some paper over the plate and lightly rub a pencil over it until entire plate area is shaded grey on the paper. This may reveal the number stamps

Re: 350 B Backhoe Options

I have a back god attachment that was originally installed on a Case/Astec 560 or larger chain trencher that was adapted to fit my 350 loader by JWB contracting who is a regular poster here. Digs about 8 feet deep, strong enough to push the loader around considerably lighter than the model 92 hoe I ...
