I went and took a close look at the diesel engine on my 1010 and the only place I see to install the hoses from the tank heater is the drain valve on the lower left front of engine and the temperature sending unit on the thermostat housing. So I guess that is rhe places I will use for the tank heate...

Parts manual shows a tank heater with all parts to install on the 1010 145ci diesel engine, does anyone a
have or know how it is hooked up to the engine. Any drawing or diagram would be greatly appreciated.

My 1960 JD 1010 Gas with serial #11531 the finals on it has a casting # T14194T and my other JD 1010 with serial # 42162 the final has a casting # T18277T. it runs!!!!Got it running around 7 pm this evening, Not running great but as time goes on I'll address that problem. It has not run is at least 3 yrs, so it will be work in progress. I need to remove the radiator and fix the crack in the lower radiator tank.

I am getting fuel to the injectors , but no pressure at injectors. Isn't the pump, suppose to put out high pressure to the injectors??

I don't see a fuel shut off lever on this injector pump. T he manual shows a cable going to injector pump, but there is none that I can find or see. i had to fix a throttle shaft, which the end was rusted off, bent a new end, drilled cotter key holes, cut the bad one off old rod and welded the newly...

I change both fuel filers , bled both. I have good fuel flow out of the filters, but can't seem to get any fuel to injectors. I checked the input line at the injector, I have good flow there. Still no fuel out of injector pump. Is there a way to bleed the injector pump???

I found my operators manual OM-T19259 and Service manual 2034. so now I can refer to them for all information that I might need.
I knew that I had them, but just could not remember where I put them,, hhhhmmm they were with all my other manuals : shock!! shock!!

I was able to read serial number tonite,. it is 42162 which makes it made in 1963, which will help getting parts.
