I remember trying to fix a set of those that were worn out when I bit the bullet and bought the new cast pieces . T bar worked best after though I know that I remember walking out of the dealers with a hand full of cast iron and a hell of a bill thinking it's not like it's electronic's or hydraulic...

John Deere parts page shows your 450D with a 6405 blade control having several spring pins and two "Chain Links" as being the pivot mechanisms for the controls. I'm wondering if the pins you say are mushroomed on the ends are the chain links. They will have a swedged appearance at the pins on the l...

Some strange sightings/descriptions with that loader.I'm almost positive that is not a B,but instead a D model. If you look close the letter D is there but the old style metal ''John Deere'' sign is on the hyd. tank[probably battery box side also] which would'nt be there if it was indeed a D. Could h...

I also thought at first they were just roll pins but mine like I said are mushroomed on each end so they don't fall out. I know for a fact these are original as I bought this dozer almost new in 1985.If they were just regular pins, with all the slop I have they would have fallen out long ago.Did grin...

That's correct, actually the entire 7500 kit in a metal toolbox goes for app. $3,400 with 13 sockets, extensions, and offset adapters.I just lost a bid on a gov't auction for 2 of these bran new plus a nice new OTC bearing puller set.All 3 units went for around $700,a bargain I suppose,I just didn't ha...

No inverter, generator,or that other thingy--electricity needed if you just use a Swench--a manual impact wrench made by Curtis-Wright.I have the 750 model--3/4'' drive rated at 800 lbs.torque, the big kahuna, the 1.5'' drive is good for 7,000 lbs.--Best place to buy is EBAY.

Well, you said that the pump was pushing oil out but to fully determine if it's truly working correctly you would have to put a gauge on her.How long did she run without oil when the hose burst?
