jdjoepa, missed the 3rd line....that is copper also...it runs from from the sediment bowl outlet to the carb elbow inlet....this has the sediment tube screen which protrudes into the carb inlet....it is also larger tubing the the other feed lines...only is about4-6 inches long... i cant post pics he...

jdjoepa, the 2010 gas i am looking at has 2 different size lines on it!..the front one is a smaller diameter and the rear one is larger..both ends of each have different type flares or seals...the fuel tank connects are flares and the carb end has the slip on brass compression ring....both are coppe...

ok....all of you guys are great....now for the rest of the story!!! i went to machine and took the distributor clean off....and guess what..,. this is the number 4 type of distributor!!!...it is an ELECTRIC AUTOLITE CO. DISTRIBUTOR.....presumably it is forerunner of prestolite..since they bought out...

ladies and gents, ok..whats the story on these distributors....manual shows to be 3 different distr for these units....delco, prestolite and wico.... from the pics in manual and instructions....it seems that they all mite be switched out to whichever one is available....manual plainly shows that bot...

tiger, have his book on it now..shows that they have 3 different kinds and that the coil needs to match the distributor...however, they have now got an alternator on it with an unmarked coil...brands are...delco, prestolite and wico distributors....i need the rotor so guess wlll have to buy 3 and se...

went back again to look at sprockets and get a number off of them... right side sprocket has a number of either t13254t or 18254t...left side seems to only have a large number showing 316....pads have 4 bolts on the tracks....these sprockets actually appear to be very good shape the concave portions...

scrapping old iron vs changing to whld tractor
Lavoy and others, what is story on this...seen other bb's discussing ex. jd60 made into crawler with 2010 uc....if so can reverse be viable..since uc's are culprit in scrapping sure hate to see alll this scrapping going on..... i know wouild be slow for tired type units...but least not scrapped to C...

gents, just missed a jd440 @ auction bid was 1250.00...looked pretty good as matched engine (2cyl popper) for my old jd40 s rubber tired tractor. just curious...are the 420 430 440 basically same engine etc? best i can see is these are nice little units weight about 5000lbs and easily hauled on car ...

welllll you folks are really a great help and i thank you immensely. i did a goof on the measures...tis an old scale...reads in 32nds and 64ths so 3 and 4/32nds on track ht. left idler is 3 25/32nds right idler is 4 8/32nds the pitch and pin dims are what shown before. yes...i did get it to work...tho several times it came back as no longer available... .what i did get to was the pdf file that goes into great details with drawings pictographs of measuring wear on the carriage etc... my main concern...if is early 2010 aND track/carriage parts NLA...what is value of...
