With or without either if that engine started in 3 turns after sitting that long there is nothing wrong with that engine. I think that would have to almost be a record for a 253

Most radiator shops can recore your old one or Lavoy might have a used one.

since the guy was using this for logging does it happen to have forks on the front and are they original? If so could you take some pictures and post them? Thanks

I try to stay away from Champion but will use them if nothing else is available.

does it move when it warms up and not move when it is cold? If so then it coulod very well be the reverser.

Just another thing about safety I pulled a truck out that was stuck and had to pull it out backwards. Had a 20 ft. chain on it and it was loaded with logs some hung out the back of the truck a few feet. After I got the truck out the guy kept backing and the dozer was in low gear and I was howlering ...

The only thing you might have trouble with is pushing out a 6" tree. It will do it but it is acording to what type of soil and what kind of tree. You can dig around these trees if you have lot's of patience but you have to be carefull or you will tear up the dozer. As far as the rest of the chores i...

I have a 440 with one on it and there was someone on here a while back that was trying to sell one he was from Pa. I would like to find an original set of logging forks for mine if anybody runs across any let me know. Thanks

If you have someone close with a tilt bed truck and winch on it check and see how much he will charge you I luck out one time and the guy didn't charge much at all but that has been a few years ago.
