Some of those little 350s could be a real pain to start I had one and everyone told me no way they are just great I cured mine by taking it to an auction [You didn't want to hear that did you ] but I always figured that 350s were not my machines any way .I bought several since and these little bugge...

I think the problem was that John Deere had out powered that drive system .The early 550s had the same drives and bull gears as a 450E I Think don't take my word for this but It is as close as s#$t to swearing to the ratio and gear width in both any way.I never had problems with finding parts my gea...

Put the 4speed into neutral to do your job .You can still use the steering clutches to fine tune your trailer entrance over the tail if you need to .The power shift is in front of the 4speed so it wont turn if the 4 speed collar shift is left between gears someplace .Digitup.
