Lavoy,
Thank you for that information.
That’s going to help a lot.

Re: 450C idler
My thought is they’re cast steel. I think iron would be too brittle to shock loads.
I was thinking of trying a little preheat and run short lengths of bead.

Have a B with similar issue (2-3” segments missing).
Any reason you couldn’t weld some patches into the gaps?
Thx,

Re: Blade control handle assembly
Now I see what you have...The pics help.
Can you use an angle grinder with a thin disc and "slice" the bit between?
That would allow the two sides to pull together more and grab better....maybe?

Re: Blade control handle assembly
Could you remove Allen bolts and drill into shaft to dimple (careful to not damage threads...maybe piece of thin wall tubing ) then grind a point on Allen bolts to engage the drilled hole?

450B engine valve adjustment- rolling over the engine?
Good afternoon, The manual gives the method for aligning the flywheel and putting the bolt in the hole in the flywheel but I was wondering: With the tranny off the back and a pump off the front, what method would you use to roll the engine to line up the flywheel? Would you loosen the injectors to m...

Run the pump run to pump out the remaining oil? I don't think I would like to risk running the pump low on oil (why chance ruining it). there are small access plates (4"x 8" approx.) under the seat, above each steering clutch used for adjustment...they could be removed and a light and mirror or insp...

Good Afternoon, There are many on the forum who can offer more than me. However, I might suggest getting a manual and pressure gauge. Check fluid levels. There are rubber plugs on the bellhousing that might allow a view of the clutch to see if that is an issue. There is a 2" bung on top of the trann...
