ok....so if i have to get salvage parts.....does the jd440 icd use the same hydraulic pump as the ic??? hopefully so or at least crank type on one with plumbing.....

could it possibly be critters pack ratting in your clutch housing? i found walnut in closed radiator. they get in where you wouldn't believe possible

Lavoy...... Looks like i am going to need to get a rebuild kit for my hydraulic pump.. it is 1960 model jd440 ic with the cam pump in front of block.... Also can i get to this thing without taking rad and front end off??? I rebuilt the one on my wheeled jd40 tractor but don't know how hard this one ...

Also note.....the corn head type grease is available at tractor supply....in quart bottles, i have an old 1 inch cartridge grease gun about 6 inches long and just refill the old cartridge out of the bottle tis messy but at least i can use it on my old jd440ic....Lavoy has the button head fitting for...

not heavy equipment but i had similar failure recently.... have my old trusty half inch (slow), think made by western auto, inherited from my dad power drill.....went to use it and out of it comes.....stink bugs and actually locked it up...twas hanging on my garage wall and had garage doors open mos...

Yes...from what i am finding out, the b&w setup is a bit involved but they do NOT require drilling holes in the frame itself, seems all parts are made specifically for each model and they do have my 1/2 ton model in stock, and the bed does not even have to come off.... a bit pricey but overall seems...

Have many of you fellers installed your own gooseneck hitches? Am considering doing so on my 1/2 GMC, talked to the shop and they say they don't have to take the bed off to install, so am wondering just how much of job it is? B & W turnover

In regards to the leaking hydraulic cylinder, that Amos pointed out...I have a jd440ic one of my cylinders was leaking with a slow drip...it finally just quit working recently and i took it to hydraulic shop...mind you this is original 1960 machine....these cylinders are simply not available because...
