The offset is 1" narrower on the T16259, and the two do not interchange, at least not on a 440.

Other than the bearings and gaskets, those are hard parts to come by used, and there are no new.

If there is a lot of play in the shifter socket, you can put a second snap ring on top of the first one and that will tighten it up quite a bit.

Brian,
Feel if you have freeplay in the steering lever, if so, than not likely an adjustment fix.

Brian,,
No problem, just need to know serial number, or which plug you need. The early ones are large diameter, the later ones are small diameter about like a pencil.

Henry was one of the Allied Aftermarket Suppliers for Deere at the time these crawlers were built. It is very possible that the loader has been on the crawler since new, but would have been installed at the dealer level, not factory.

Stewart Warner and Rochester made/make a lot of gauges for Deere. Jerry Tricka at Evergreen Restorations has new faces on new gauges for the two cylinder stuff, he may be able to do them for the new gen as well.

Bill pretty much hit all of them, might add stripped splines in rear end. Look to the clutches first. Pull the little top cover on the clutch housing and leave it off. Work the crawler, and see if the brake drum is turning when that side quits driving. If it does, it is in the clutch area somewhere....

Depends on whether you need rails only, or rails and pads. If you have two bolt rails now, or your 4 bolt pads are shot, you will need new pads as well. Rails vary in price depending on manufacturer and country of origin. I hope to know more on a potential new undercarriage supplier some time next m...

Only the very last 440's had the narrow dish sprocket, so the 1010 is the main user. JR Hobbs once joked that they quit making parts for the 1010's when the last one rolled off of the assembly line. He was speaking mainly of the tractors, but he is not far off. Parts support for the 1010 has always ...

If you have a good trailer, good brakes, good tires, etc, you could haul this crawler from coast to coast with your pickup, and do it legally if you had the correct drivers license. You biggest problem may be the DOT guys if you plan on hauling any distance at all.
Welcome to the board.
