I don't know which rock guards those are, inside or out, sprocket or roller?

But, I have had good luck getting good used rock guards from two sources;

1010 track chain measurement

Can anyone tell me how to measure the chain to see where it may be in the range of new vs. needing replacement?

I read in another post how to measure for pin & bushing wear, but need to check the chain while I am tearing everything apart.

Thanks
Paul

1010 Bottom Roller Question

Does anyone know about the brand name Treck (sp?) bottom rollers? I found some new ones not to far away. I have only seen Berco and know how heavy they look. Just want to make sure these Trecks are not lightweight.

Thanks

Thanks for the advice - it worked perfect.

I went to the Service Manager at my JD Dealer. He gave me his info and contact at a local diesel injector pump parts supplier and shop that he uses. I called them and they have the injector pump timing window.

1010 C Diesel Injector Pump Timing?

Does anyone know where to get a timing window for the Roosa Master pump. The JD service manual says use a timing window part #13366, but my Deere dealer says that is not a valid number, I even brought in the book. Thanks

I don't know about the 2010, but on the 1010 you got to hold the key to the left for 15 seconds to 3 minutes depending on temperature to run the glow plugs before starting. You may want to try taking them out, leaving the wire conected, and grounding them to make sure they are heating up. Even thoug...

I was able to get both the front and rear from Wengers in PA, shipping was not unreasonable.

Correct air cap?

Does anyone know whether the correct air cap (the one that goes above the hood on the air tube that conects to the air filter housing) for a 1010C Diesel should have a screen underneath or about 10 large holes? I am not talking about the glass bowl assembly one. I want to get the correct one and hav...

I hope this helps you, I just measured the new sending unit I got from the dealer for my 1010C and have not installed yet. Empty was about full continuity or .5 ohms. Granted the float was all the way down and in reality while installed in the tank may not quite have the full range of motion since i...

Engine Rebuild??? 1010c

I am restoring a 1010c diesel, early 1961, shifter on dash. I have a well equiped farm shop and have rebuilt/restored just about everything on a JD tractor except spliting one or rebuilding a motor. Question, is this a simple motor rebuild to get my feet wet on? Or should I send it out, and to who. ...

I am new to crawlers, got my first 1010C half a year ago. But, I have a lot of experience with farm equipment and anti-sieze (never-sieze or generic) compounds. I mostly collect/farm with new generation JD tractors (its a hobby/passion), 2510, 4020, etc, anti-sieze is a must on anything torqued over...
