Re: A “Thank you” for Lavoy and Inj pump question

If you have nothing better to do, you might try swapping a couple of injectors including NO 2 to see if the noise stays the same or moves with the injector. Just a thought.

Re: Blown fuze

Use a test bulb in place of the fuse. If it is bright you still have the short somewhere. Cheaper than blowing fuses to test. When it gets sorta dim and the other lights light dimly also you are probably working and will not blow the fuse.

Bath Iron Works, I spent 33 months on Bath's second Gearing class Destroyer that they finished in '44. DDR-743. I was on it 60-63. It was also the ...

Cutting Edge

I was reading Stans Dipstick Diaries and noticed a couple of entries from Cutting Edge. Has anybody heard from him in the last year or so?? He reported that he had been diagnosed with Cancer I think a while back but then he disappeared.

Re: 420-C S/N#100676

Sixty some years ago I ran an 8 volt battery in an old Dodge I was trying to drive. Back then I found a generator shop that was able to adjust my voltage regulator so that I could keep the battery charged, It was rough on headlites as only the bulbs marked 6-8v would last more than a few minutes. I ...

Re: 440ic brake/clutch pedal

The brake and clutch operate on concentric shafts, if proper maintenance has been preformed they operate separate from each other. They will rust together and then not work properly. A 440I has a zerk fitting on the left side to insert grease between them. I have heard of people trying to force some...

Will, I think you will find that Lavoy is located near Horace, North Dakota. And Horace is just south of Fargo, North Dakota.

If you click down at the bottom on "Show More" it says it was from "The River" released in 1984. I guess I have never watched it.

Have you tried Lavoy Wilcox , postmaster@jdcrawlers.com? He makes this site possible by selling good parts cheap (as he can).
You might want to edit your profile to give some indication of what part of the world you are in.

Re: Just bought a MC. Oh dear.

You have some beautiful country up there. I made it to Road America for a Can-Am race over 40 years ago. Cannot help with the MC, need to consider clearing out some 440ICDs

Re: 450 Fluids, engine manufacturer and paint

AFAIK,except for the 2-53 Jimmy (Detroit) diesels in the 440I, 440ICD, and 435 all John Deere engines are John Deere built. Some newer compact tractors may have Yanmar diesels.
