Maybe the bushing in the distributor is worn enough that the points are changing their gap and causing excessive wear. Give the points shaft a wiggle to check for slop. gregjo1948

I 'm thinking the pressure plate springs may have failed which would give you no resistance on the lever. It would be as if the clutch was already applied. Probably time to tear apart. gregjo1948

If you can get the engine freed up, try bumping the dozer into a tree or something that won't move easily. Hold the turning clutch back.
