Good thought, one troubleshooting step was to run machine with fuel tank cap removed.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Another fuel problem 450C trackloader
Hello all: Was working my 450C track loader and as I moved out of the work area to dump my bucket the engine lost power. Dumped the bucket and could barely move in first low under it's own power. Checked all the usual suspects. Fuel in tank, yes, fuel filter, less than 50 hours, looks clean, all con...

9300 backhoe cylinder gland removal
Looks like I will be rebuilding the curl cylinder on my new old backhoe attachment. The JD parts book calls for a specific gland nut removal tool. I have had no luck finding one on line. If the original tool is no longer available, what is the preferred tool? Also, where is the best (most reasonably...

Lubricants for a 450C
I am a new 450C track loader owner and am looking to get some lubricants for stock. The manual calls for Torq-Guard Supreme oil, Hy-Guard Oil for the hydraulics. I suspect that any quality diesel motor oil of the appropriate viscosity will be fine in the engine but am unsure what spec hydraulic oil ...

Old member, new toy
Hello all: I have finally succumbed to that dreaded incurable disease..."Yellow Iron Fever". After much time lurking here and occasionally asking questions, some dumb, I finally have taken delivery of an older 450C track loader with a back hoe attachment. The machine was broken down to major compone...

Thoughts on a 455G track loader
