Re: Body more worn out than my equipment
I'm 64 now, almost 65, and after 43.75 years in the excavating biz, still luv my jab mon. Yes indeed,I really truly do, mostly because I love working good JD iron and helping my clients with any and all of their site work issues. My new man cave this time of year is also a godsend in this frigid NY W...

Re: help with a 450
Soooo, I take it a ''memory stick'' isn't one of those things with 2 eyes,a mouth,a nose, and 2 ears. Maybe I'm just old but somebody please fill me in because I can probably use one of those gadgets.

450C injection pump issues
Just bought another old crawler from a CL find, this time a 1979 450C loader. Seller thought it was sitting for 20 years, winched her home on my bud's Pete recovery truck , put 2 new batteries in her, fired right up after I drained the fuel tank, changed the fuel filter a few times, ran perfect for ...

I have had numerous JD late model crawlers and TLB's with the hydraulic reverser. If everything is in correct order you most definitely don't use the clutch to change direction.Deere designed a great system here for quick movements by shuttling under full RPM. Never have I had any issues.Perfectly pr...

Lavoy--years ago after I had my 6-53 rebuilt by my local DDA dealer, they explicitly told me ONLY run straight 30 or 40 wt.oil, low ash,I believe back then the big name for this was Kendall which as I'm sure you know is good oil.Matter of fact I still have some left which goes into my little 2-53'r in...
