Looking for shops/mechanics/parts NE.Tennessee / SW VA / NC

I hope this is the right place to post this topic --- I'm looking for shops/mechanics/JD 350B parts, in the North East Tennessee / SW VA / NC region. I am looking for someone who can and would take a job to pull and rebuild my 350B transmission. Please share if you know any shops, mechanics, or salv...

Options -- Thanks guys.

KenP, I think the front bearing is bad, but the best I can tell, the shaft also has slack in the rear now. (After moving it around some in the case). My question was really in regards to the possibility of removing the shaft with the reverser in the machine and without removing the tracks, etc. I re...

The Verdict

I was able to get the transmission cover pulled off this weekend. The bearings are shot on my output shaft. :( As far as I can tell the gears inside the transmission look OK. I have not seen the pinion and ring gear yet. Just curious if there is any way to pull the shaft out the rear of the machine....

Thanks everyone - Those were my thoughts as well. However, not knowing the prices of the parts I may need has me looking at all options.

I'll be in touch. If the rain holds off, I hope to have the 350 towed out of the rough and into a better spot to check out the problems. I'll keep you posted.

Bad News...

Thanks for the comments LeonardL and Lavoy. I was expecting the transmission might be the problem. As soon as I can get the ole' 350 out of the woods, I'll pull the cap off of the transmission. By the way, I have found a transmission, reported to be off of a 350B, but the pics I have indicate the fr...

clutch and torsoinal isolator between engine/flywheel 350B

Thanks jdemaris. I have tried to identify the master pin. So far, I cannot positively identify the master pins. I do have a couple of pins that have a very small dimple mark, but the dimples look more like they were made with a punch instead of being a machined into the pin. I'll continue to look. I...

350B Track Master Link Pin Picture Needed

Does anyone have a picture of a 350B track master pin?

I have searched and cannot seem to find the master pin on the track.

Thanks!

I'm hoping the leak was due to overfilling or it will not leak too much.

This loader will be a farm machine, not an every day construction machine.

Time will tell.

I have good news!! The reverser is working perfectly!!! I decided to drain the fluid and replace the filter element. Refilled the Reverser and it worked like a charm. Apparently the old filter was preventing the pump from priming/pumping. I ran the Loader for about an hour this evening and everythin...

Clutch oil regulator pressure test indicates no measurable pressure. Could this be a stuck bypass valve? :?: :?: I removed the bypass valve's plug and spring but the valve and ball did not drop out of the hole. How is the best way to get the Bypass valve itself out of the bore? :?: I also removed th...

Can a chipped idler be repaired by welding a piece under the broken section and then building up the broken area?

Anyone still have a good used 350B idler for sale? If so, please send pricing including shipping to zip 37617.

Thanks!

I hope to check the pressures tomorrow. As for the Jeep. the current project is a 1982 CJ7 http://webpages.charter.net/3dlights/Pics/jeep.jpg Older Project Jeep http://webpages.charter.net/3dlights/Pics/oldjeep.jpg I don't think I will tackle rebuilding the reverser on my own.
