The US NAVY always said that electric current flows from positive to negative, but electrons flow from negative to positive. Come to think of it Southern Methodist University School of Engineering agreed with them.

Lavoy This is slightly off topic but what is the nominal resistance of a glow plug? I would think it would be about 10 ohms or less. When I see "no resistance" I think of a short, and infinite resistance for an open. But this is just my electronics background. I get tickled at so many times I hear s...

My 440ICD has a small (1/8") pipe plug that looks like it feeds right into the blower intake, I have thought of buying a small 1/4 turn valve to replace the plug and be able to open for ether and shut off the unfiltered air easily. Mine starts better with the throttle opened up a ways, but I realize...

You might try a penetrating oil like "Kroil" from www.kanolabs.com on those tracks. I used it to free up a stuck Minne Moline tractor engine. Bryce

I found and cleaned the vent tube on mine because the governor was leaking oil. I guess two screws are down in the pan because they were missing out of the governor. To get the governor off I had to remove the inspection cover to the intake, at the same time. I cannot figure a way to get either off ...

I have bought a case of Delo 400 straight 40W to put in my 440ICD just haven't gotten it changed yet. It was the only 40W oil I could find. I have also heard the automotive oils have reduced their additive package for environmental reasons, and nearly all "modern" cars use roller cams. I plan on run...

That 420 C extra widetrac is listed again on eBag auction # 290013708142. Just thought I would mention it.

Jac Make sure you don't have a short in the wiring between the gauge and the sender, that would also make it go full scale. in my parts manual, PC-609 page 85-2 gives a semi-wiring diagram, not much use without wires labeled. It shows the sender to be item 12, AT11118T. I would think you might be ab...
