do you think the direction reverser is ok, i would need everything including linkage since this one never had one... can you send me a price on that and the sliding second and reverse gear if you have got access to the barn yet i dont think you would want to open that trans up for just that gear. mi...

i dont know what you got into it... but it looks like a great start for sure. Enjoy it and you will find you will get hooked on them.

thanks.. might have found those trans gears i need in northern vt and he has a complete reverser he thinks.. but its from the gas.. the trans gears from a later gas are the same arent they?? thanks again

i know the trans for the early gas and diesel are different. will the reverser for a gas 440 fit in a 440 ICD diesel. What started as a trans popping out of second is getting interesting..I might have found the gears i need and he has a reverser too.. fingers crossed

There was someone in Jacksonville VT that had a add he has 440 parts and i think he knows about you... I;ll try him too...

thank you... got a small chance on one here and maybe buying a complete parts machine.. 440ICD loader but the it wont move.. they suspect the trans but i suspect they blew the reverser since they said they didnt need to use the clutch time will tell..

Lavoy i was looking and it looks the same for the 4 and 5 sps ,looking for the second sliding gear and could get by without the mate but a good pair would be the smart thing So mainly if you have the 2nd slider.. let me know... thanks

Thanks Lavoy but its a 4 spd would need both the 2nd gears.I have located a 440ICD loader parts machine for a good price but I think the trans is junk too... figures....lol

I know that there is earlier and later trans.. can a complete later trans be later style be used... I also know the 1010 is different.. but what about swapping a whole 1010 trans into a 440 ICD?
