Thanks for the insight- I will be checking them Saturday when I get back down there (my crawler is about an hour from where I am currently living). I can't afford to have hard starting once the weather cools a little more.

2010 Diesel Glow Plug/Priming Questions

Hi guys- I had a couple of questions about priming/starting the 2010 diesel engine. As the weather has been cooling off (70s), the engine has been getting progressively harder to start- to the point of excessive cranking. Once started and warm, it will fire up almost immediately. I have followed the...

Per Lavoy in a different topic pertaining to the 2010: "The serial number break as far as tracks is 42,000. There are some other breaks as far as the rest of the machine, different things like injectors and such. It is also possible that an early crawler has had the later rails put on. To tell which...

It's not too small for a tractor trailer, but the cost to move may be beyond your means. I don't know the exact weight of your setup, but would guess a 1 ton truck with a heavy duty gooseneck (dually tires) could move it at normal grades. I move my 2010 crawler with backhoe (very similar size crawle...

My 2010 loader operator's manual has the following (crawler with loader bucket and counterweights):

Gas: 13,244 lbs
Diesel: 13,349 lbs

Rear attachments (if any) will add to this total as they are heavier than the counterweights.

Hi Lavoy- What other options do you see for those of us not lucky enough to have a new set of sprockets? -Do you think that ggfossen's idea for an adapter plate to a 350 sprocket would work? It seems to me from casual observation that the 350 sprockets are a different configuration (wider and solid ...

Hi Lavoy- Just to expand on this topic a little, when you say no other modiciations needed on the 2010 undercarriage to use the 350 rails, you're saying the rollers, top idler, and the front idler wheel are compatible? Just double checking? Also, have they stopped production on the large bushing 201...

I agree- it sounds like a blown head gasket. I had the same exact problem with my GM truck. It will get progressively worse, and you will not want to run it much more. I thought I didn't have much water in my oil pan based strictly on the dipstick (frothy just at the top of the dipstick and little o...

Question About Model 50 Backhoe Bucket Interchangability

Hi everyone- I have another question for you all- hopefully it isn't a dumb one. I have a Model 50 backhoe attachment with a 16" bucket for my crawler. I was wanting to get a couple other bucket sizes for the backhoe- mainly a 12" and 24" bucket. I see a lot of used buckets available for the JD 310 ...

Determining Year or Serial Number Range for JD2010 Crawlers

Hi everyone- I recently purchased a JD2010 crawler loader. One drawback is that it appears the serial number plate has been worn away, so I can't determine its exact age or serial number range. Apparently this is important for ordering certain parts and also may be important concerning the pin and b...

My New Toy: JD 2010 Crawler Loader with Model 50 Backhoe

Hi Everyone- I thought I would share with you all my new toy, which is a JD 2010 crawler loader with the Model 50 backhoe attachment. I posted about it in the other forum (early model JD crawlers) about a month ago, and decided to buy it a couple of weeks ago. I had found it for sale by a farmer in ...
