Re: JD 350c crawler steering problem

Is this a 350-C?
350-C's have hydraulic clutches, only linkage is from the lever to a valve spool. Only connection to the final drive is for the brakes.
Sounds like it is a straight 350?

Re: Increased lift with Drott bucket

I think as others have said, more information is needed. Max lifting capacity is different then lifting capacity through the full range of lift. Most of the spec sheets I've come across list tipping load, which is a completely different test then lift capacity. The 350B and later have a completely d...

Re: 26 Hr 350C

Agree with you guys! Someone has done some work on the tilt cylinder (no boot/welding on guard), and the engine side covers were removed recently (probably to paint). I also think the original OEM seat looked different (had vertical ribs in it?) Remember, 350-C hourmeters are electric, fairly easy t...

Yes,With some help from my dad and brother. I used to have all the pics on here until the photobucket "scandal" a few years ago. Been too busy (lazy) to upload them all to the new server

Re: 3315 winch mounting

The winch drive is very similar to the PTO, only difference internally is the PTO has the disconnect lever and coupling, you see the lever up in the floor, whereas the winch drive turns anytime the reverser is engaged. The only question would be, is the PTO output the same spine as the winch drive? ...

This time of year can be tough to get opportunities to play for crawler owners, managed to grab some locust from the neighbor last weekend :D http://jdcrawlers.lcent.com:8000/johndeere/albums/userpics/10015/Resized_20190112_100342_9855.jpeg http://jdcrawlers.lcent.com:8000/johndeere/albums/userpics/...

Re: 350c winch install

Jim
I think you're correct on all accounts. If memory serves correct there are 2 levers, the shape is different. The lever from the early winches will fit a C machine, if I remember right they just mount with a shoulder bolt/nut to a hole in the hydraulic tank near the seat frame.

Re: 350c winch install

Stan Makes sense then, 350C's need a rotary valve for a 3315 winch, unless modification is done to the spool valve type it's not going to fit. I know there has been talk of the filter interfering, after a quick search, the filter seems to have changed location. If that's the case, they must have dif...

Re: 350c winch install

The fuel tanks on the B changes somewhere to add the sediment bowl, the C seem to have had them. If you'll notice, some of the tanks bolted sideways to the battery box/hydraulic tank, while others did not. The question I would have is if Deere deleted the sediment bowl if a machine was ordered with ...

Re: Float detent for blade John Deere 350D

You would want the spool to return to neutral once you take your hand off of it. If it did not behave this way, the blade would lower/raise by itself, and unless his 350 has a GPS with autograde, that's not a good thing! To achieve the "float" position, you have to push the lever past the "low...

Re: Float detent for blade John Deere 350D

Oh the bottom of your blade lift control valve spool is the detent for float. It has it's own adjustment screw that changes how hard you have to push the lever down to achieve float. If it is not grabbing at all, it may be broken, the screw may have fallen out or the end of the spool may be damaged.

Re: 1982 450 c fuel tank screen

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on owning a crawler! The screen threads out, the ones on the 350C are plastic. The may have been metal at one point. You can use a flatblade screwdriver when all goes well. If it's to the point of no return, you may be able to use an easy-out and extract it. Only t...
