Re: Running hot?

I suppose it's possible, it's a mechanical gauge I put in maybe 8 years ago. I think I have a non contact gun, I could shoot the top of the radiator cap fairly easy when she's good and hot.

Running hot?

I've had an issue for quite awhile, my little 450c seems to run hotter than I think it should when it's hot outside. Normally in the spring/winter it runs around 190 degrees. It's fairly warm right now (read 87-90) right now and after working her hard she get's up to around 220 degrees. After 3 hour...

Re: steering clutch

You've really posted this in the wrong section, I don't know if someone will see it to move it but you should post it in the early model section it has much more traffic.

Re: Case 580c

I found 8 or 9 little specs and a flake of something out of the inspection port. I pulled it tonight and gonna send it off for repair tomorrow.....I can't win for losing. My little new holland skid steer blew a drive pump too, I need to hire a full time mechanic.

Re: Case 580c

It's the little 90 elbow check valve that is in the top of the pump. It's part of the return circuit. When the check valve gets plugged up it builds pressure in the pump until it will not run anymore.

Case 580c

I've got a case 580c and I've cleaned the little check valve in the top of the Standyne fuel pump about 4 times in the last few weeks. It all started when we had that massive cold freeze, it stopped running right and I just assumed it was gell'ed fuel broke something loose inside it. The problem sti...

Re: racingjoe66 350B Loader

I was just out seeing what gauge lights worked and also how much light the 2 headlights put out. I noticed when the lights are turned on the oil pressure gauge pegs out, turn it off and then it goes down to operating pressure. Any thoughts on why that would happen? Well the gauges work off a fluctu...

Re: bolt on track cleats

I have the street grousers and never been stuck and I was dragging the belly pan just 2 days ago. It was close but I made it out. The rut was taller than my knee lol.

Re: racingjoe66 350B Loader

It's always a little hard to tell after they get the dupont tuneup. However the sprockets and pads are both excellent. I'd guess the links are good as there is a ton of travel available in the adjuster on both sides. All the rock guards and sheet metal is present. It needs about 3 tubes of grease sh...

Re: 450C track loader hose replacement question

When I did mine, like the others I had the boom of the ground and pulled the rear pins to get the rear hoses. I bought all kinds of wrenches, bent some of said wrenches and really improved my language skills. I found I had to make up new words....I smashed a finger so good the finger nail fell off.

Re: 450C track loader hose replacement question

I tilted the bucket forward and rested the bucket on a goose neck trailer so the loader arms were mostly up out of the way. I then pulled the loader lift cylinder and then you just have to muscle thru it. You can disconnect the steel lines in the walk pass thru area, then there is a bolt that connec...

Re: 350B Loader Pads

I hate to do it but I feel compelled, my loader will always have 3 bar grouser pads. I cannot say with 100% certainty what john deere's position is on the matter however without question most loaders come with 3 bar grousers and most dozers come with dozer pads. Common sense tells me that a loader s...

Re: 67 350 dash

My 450c has 4 gauges in the dash with the tach, water temp, transmission temp, oil pressure and amp gauge. The hole below the seat left side is where my hour meter is. The cap with the chain is for ether starting, I used the flexible oil pressure line to hook it up to the intake.

Hope that helps.
